Lifelines (Live from Grace Lutheran Church)

about

Hi friends,

"Lifelines" the third single from the upcoming EP is out now!

The song is about finding faith during our darkest times. It's a song I wrote a couple weeks after my divorce process started, when I didn't believe in myself enough to escape the emotional, mental, spiritual, and financial pit I was falling deeper and deeper into.

Laying on my floor last December, looking up at the ceiling, I felt compelled to grab my guitar, which has been a literal life-saver many times over, now, and wound up writing this song over the next hour or so. In the middle of it, my therapist called me to check on me – a reminder that people really did care about me and something that also helped me get through and push on.

A lot has happened since I wrote this song and, one year later, things are so, so much better. Better than I ever thought they could be. I've paid off my debt and started rebuilding my business, I've played probably around 100 gigs in 2023, I've released music despite my fears, I've started learning and experiencing what healthy love feels like in the context of a romantic relationship, and I've broken through limiting beliefs multiple times and continue committing more and more to breaking through them regularly.

I hope this song serves to remind you that there is so much more waiting for you if you fight through the hard times and the fear. You are worthy of so much love and expansion in this life.

Keep moving forward, we need you here with us.

All my love,

Jorge

lyrics

Lyrics:

I know you're up there
In the night air
When I despair

And I know you'll save me
When I feel weak
And I stray

Who knew these dark times
Would be the lifelines
To all your strange signs
And belief?
And belief?

If I live forever
Swear I'll never
Dare turn heel

'Cause you've shown me I'm good
When I get hurt
I love harder

Who knew these dark times
Would be the lifelines
To all your strange signs
And belief?
And belief?
And belief?
And belief

I'm not so selfish
To take credit
For my peace

And I'm not too proud, now
To sing this out
Through the streets

Who knew these dark times
Would be the lifelines
To all your strange signs
And belief?
And belief?
And belief?
And belief

Who knew these dark times
Would be lifelines
To your love?
